Planet Beach Franchising Corporation Provides Relief to the Louisiana Flood Victims
GeneralPlanet Beach understands the wrath of Mother Nature all too well. Only one week following Hurricane Katrina, the company had resumed operations at a satellite office in Houma, Louisiana. In preparation of the Hurricane, the primary network server was transported to a location that would withstand an F-5 Category Tornado. This critical move freed the lines of communication and allowed employees of Planet Beach to stay in constant contact as they fled their homes and found refuge in various destinations throughout the United States. Senior Executives of Planet Beach implemented an operating plan that allowed the company to continue supporting and servicing its’ franchise locations across the globe. These proactive measures allowed the company to persevere and progress forward.
Though Hurricane Katrina brought with it fierce winds and rains that washed away entire communities, it could not shake the perpetual spirit of Planet Beach. In one catastrophic week, the company was pushed to the edge and pulled itself back. The people of the organization experienced the emotions of fear and loss, but amazingly demonstrated teamwork and focus. They continued to focus on the job at hand under the most trying circumstances. Through the tragic loss and devastation, the valiant people of the company persevered and carried on. They moved forward and looked ahead without looking back. They held on to the hope of tomorrow, to start anew and to seize the opportunity that lay before them. They embraced the opportunity to rebuild their homes, their communities and their lives.
As state officials and personnel begin the restoration process in South Louisiana, Planet Beach Franchising will be assisting those affected by this unforeseen circumstance. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the flood victims. Again, donations may be brought or sent to 5145 Taravella Rd. Marrero, La 70072. Hours of Operation are Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
