The final countdown is on for the 2022 HOTWORX & Planet Beach Convention, slated to take place August 1-3 at the luxurious Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. The company is excited to announce that actor, singer, writer and comedian, Amy Gordon, is back by popular demand!

Amy was previously chosen to narrate the audio version of Hot Exercise, authored by CEO, Stephen P. Smith. In his search for the right voice to bring the audio version of his book to life, he received numerous sample readings of the book from various actors/narrators, but there was one voice that stood out among the rest. Amy’s eloquent command of the English language made her the obvious choice. Born in Seattle and based in New York, Amy has worked worldwide with performances on Broadway, the Sydney Opera House, Kennedy Center, Just for Laughs, and not to mention appearances in numerous movies.

Amy Gordon has toured as a comedian for over 20 years, and has performed in 46 countries and 5 languages. In NY, she played those shows at New Victory Theatre, Symphony Space, Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, and was the Big Apple Circus’ first female solo comedian. Filmed work includes Tyler Perry’s A Fall From Grace, and TV shows (Bull, Apple TV’s Extrapolations, The Undetected, and is currently shooting a recurring character for a new Hulu series, as yet undisclosed.) Big Time, the sitcom pilot she wrote and produced garnered her numerous national and international awards for Best Comedy, Best Pilot and Best Actress. She’s been a semi-finalist on Got Talent shows in Germany, Italy, and France, and on comedy specials in Austria, Germany, and the UK. Other favorite US houses include Kennedy Center, Pasadena Playhouse, and the Cosmopolitan (LV.) She was the Artistic Director of Daredevil Opera Company, a featured player in the Olivier-awarded variety shows, La Clique and La Soiree, and was the writer/comedy director for the hit Broadway show, Anti-Gravity’s Crash Test Dummies, and the interactive James Bond show she starred in across NY, Shaken Not Stirred. She has also narrated over 20 audiobooks, including Naomi Wolf’s Outrages and Stephen Smith’s Hot Exercise.

Amy was so entertaining in the delivery of her presentation during the 2021 Convention at the La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, TX. She had the audience motivated, energized and up on their feet. She is back by popular demand and there is no doubt that she will once again captivate and charm the audience as she hosts the Awards Banquet at this year’s upcoming Convention.
