Hydrate: Total Wellness Principle #3

It’s become one of those clichéd health tips. We hear it all the time: Drink lots of water. Moisturize your skin.

So few of us actually take these tips seriously. Some of us hate drinking water, and some of us just plain forget. I mean, who can remember to count every single 8oz serving of water they drink throughout the day? Even putting on facial moisturizer or body lotion kind of falls into the “not so important” category when rushing to get dressed for work.

Well, the reason it is so cliché is because hydration really is important. That’s why every nutritionist and doctor wants to beat the idea of good hydration into our brains. Dehydration is not our friend.

Drinking water might as well be the fountain of youth. It promotes weight loss, makes you more alert, cures most headaches, and even aides in reducing the risk of cancer. And that is only a few reasons that it is important to stay hydrated.

When it comes to having healthy, radiant skin, hydration is key. Drinking water allows your body to work from the inside out to promote elasticity in your skin to get that youthful look. Additionally, it’s also important to hydrate your skin from the outside as well. Making sure to cleanse and moisturize regularly is important to the health and well being of your skin.
