The Veterans Day Holiday began as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country’s service and was originally called Armistice Day. It was commemorated on November 11^th, which was the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. However, on June 1 1954, the holiday was changed to “Veterans Day” to honor American veterans of all wars.

As Americans, we show our ultimate appreciation to the members of the military, past and present. We celebrate and honor those that have sacrificed so much to defend our beautiful nation and safeguard the virtues of liberty & justice for all. From those that have seen the tragedy of war to those that have just enlisted to protect and serve, we salute you! We are home of the free because of you, the brave.
