I appreciate the time change when I wake to a little more light. However, at night, with the dark descending so early it makes me want to crawl into bed and stay there – a choice that doesn’t necessarily support my exercise goals – I am less thankful.
During the lighter and warmer months I enjoy a good run outside in the fresh air, but it’s almost impossible this time of year. So, I’m back at the gym, running on the treadmill and taking various classes. No matter how much I want to hibernate, bikini season is just around the corner.
But that doesn’t solve the problem of the dark. Don’t fret. I know something that does. Our red light therapy! Not only does it benefit my skin, it makes me feel awesome.
Originally discovered by NASA, red light therapy is characterized by the use of infrared light, which possesses strong wavelengths that penetrate deeply into the skin. Red light therapy may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promote healing, help to eliminate sun damage, and improve overall appearance.
Anyway, happy Monday. Wishing you a great week, full of light, beauty and exercise.
