Jessica Meehan’s friends told her about the notorious MysticTan, but the sunless spray tan newbie had yet to try it. That is, until she finally made an appointment at the Planet Beach Contempo Spa in Terrytown, La., a suburb of New Orleans.
“I don’t like tanning but I still wanted to be tan,” she says. “I was going to the beach and wanted a little bit of color.” Her friends encouraged her to try Mystic Tan and she found her local Planet Beach on Facebook.

Louisiana woman, already a Mystic Tan fan, wins choice sunless package
Janessa Clower already was a big fan of Mystic Tan. When she saw the recent Planet Beach Contempo Spa sunless product and service contest, she didn’t hesitate to enter.
Though she’s never won anything before, she has been a regular of her local Planet Beach spa since last year, so she was familiar with the services and wanted to win. Janessa, of Bossier City, LA, posted a picture of herself headed out to the Military Ball in a sleek dress, amazing hair and fabulous glow provided by a recent Mystic Tan from Planet Beach.

Jessica is a longtime fan of UV tanning, and at first she was skeptical of spray tans, especially after a visit to an unrelated salon left her streaky and upset.
“I used to tan a lot in the tanning beds and I have tried spray tans at a couple of places and wasn’t satisfied,” she says. “The first time I did it, I wasn’t completely pleased with it, but it was OK. The second time I did it I had streaks, and I had to stand there until I was completely dry. I was so mad.”
