Catching up With 2014 Cover Model of the Year, Paige Duke

Its been about a month since we crowned Paige Duke as our 2014 Cover Model of the Year. It was a close competition, our Top 5 models were all SO amazing. We were able to catch up with Paige to find out what her plans are for the future and how she feels about winning the title of Cover Model of the Year. Paige had this to say:

“I feel so blessed and honored to carry the Title as 2014’s Planet Beach Cover Model of the Year. I was already excited to have earned one of the 5 coveted cover model positions but I am so thankful to have been chosen to represent Planet Beach’s top position out of these amazing girls! This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed the Planet Beach National Franchise Convention and meeting everyone who has made it possible for me to even hold this title. I feel so humbled to represent their hard work and dedication to such a wonderful company. One of the main reasons I wanted to win this title is because I love to make others feel good about themselves and to strive for self improvement and that is what Planet Beach is all about. It feels great to know I can open a Planet Beach Contempo Spa and progress with this company. I want to devote 100% of my time and talents to this company. When the time is right, the funds are available, and with the help of my mother I would love to open a Planet Beach of my own. Right now I’m working towards several new opportunities with my career, but when I decide where I want to live and have the time to devote to ensuring my franchise will succeed then I will move forward with business plans. Right now I can’t wait to attend the expos and events lined up for the year to educate myself further in this industry and to enjoy all the new products and services Planet Beach has to offer!!”

Every year, Planet Beach Franchise Corporate holds its annual convention so franchisees can keep up with the latest trends in the spa, beauty and wellness industries.This year, Planet Beach held it’s 13^th convention and received raving reviews. Planet Beach franchisees, Regional Developers and staff from around the world gathered in Tunica, MS at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino for the largest and most important training and networking event of the year. Planet Beach is excited to announce Paige Duke as the official 2014 International Cover Model. The final results for the cover model contest were released during the annual Planet Beach Franchisee Convention in Tunica, Mississippi.

Planet Beach has spent months searching the globe to find the most beautiful, talented, and educated women in the world to compete in its cover model search. Hosting modeling competitions and casting calls for the past 12 months, Paige was chosen over 140 women, as the official Planet Beach Cover Model.

Paige Duke was born in Germany but raised in her parent’s small town of Lancaster, SC. Always a star student; She attended Clemson University Calhoun Honors College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Animal Science. During her college education an agency reached out to Paige and she began modeling part time. She won 3rd runner-up in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic International pageant. She currently works as an internationally published print & commercial model. She can be seen in numerous Wrangler ads, QVC commercials, several country music videos, cohosting a local radio broadcast, and working as a Falken Tire and Momo Motorsports spokes model for Tudor United Sport scar racing, drifting, and super cross events.

While there she was cast on Season 2 of CMT’s #1 hit show “Sweet Home Alabama,” and subsequently was cast as the bachelorette for Season 3. In 2012 she moved home to Charlotte, NC. She still works as a vet tech and enjoys spending time with her two pit bulls, kickboxing, cooking, hiking, fishing, and hunting.

The Planet Beach International Cover Model Search was open to women from around the world, ages 18 to 40, who embody the Planet Beach lifestyle; an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for personal self-improvement, as well as an interest in the beauty and wellness industry. The competition was narrowed down to over 140 models who, through online votes, and was scaled to the top 40, who received a free trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The top five finalists of the Planet Beach Cover Models competitors were able to participate in photo and video shoots, interviews, and a runway show. They also represented Planet Beach in promotional materials, in-spa designs and marketing campaigns worldwide.

Planet Beach is excited to hold its annual Franchisee Convention at Harrah’s in the city of Tunica, Mississippi on February 18, 2014. This year’s convention theme will be Southern Hospitality, focusing on the importance of optimal customer service and the most high-tech developments in spa treatments and wellness.

There will be a 2014 Cover Model Competition happening this Sunday, July 14^th at 2pm! This local competition will be held at Orangutang’s Prop Stop in Biloxi, MS. Models will showcase their talents for the judges, including guest judge, Al Jones from WLOX 13.

A few weeks ago, tornadoes in Oklahoma tore through towns such as Moore, leaving nothing but devastation in their wake. Parents, children, and entire communities were shaken by these events. Some left with little to no resources at their disposal.

To aid in this hard time, Planet Beach joined with former New Orleans Saints Quarterback, John Fourcade to send help and resources to those desperately in need.

This is not Fourcade’s first experience with aiding in natural disasters. He organized donation drives to the northeast to help victims of Hurricane Sandy, and he also drove over to help out after the West Texas explosion.

Fourcade, as well as the Planet Beach family, think that it is important to give back and help areas that are in need.  Multiple trips to Moore, OK and El Rino, Ok  have been organized in order to bring much needed support to those victims. Trailers full of donations which include: clothes, non-perishable food items, water, supplies, appliances and more have been brought to churches, schools, and other distributions sites in the devastated areas.

Planet Beach is proud to be one of the organizations reaching out to help those in need. We recognize that health and wellness are important in our everyday lives, but especially in times of tragedy.

It may have been a few weeks ago, but the people of Oklahoma are still feeling the after effects. Let’s make sure to keep them in our thoughts and let them know that we are here to support them for as long as they need the help in rebuilding, not only their structures, but also their general health and well-being.

It is that time of year again!  THE MOST UNIQUE, EXCITING COVER MODEL SEARCH is once again being re-launched to find 5 lucky ladies that will represent Planet Beach in 2014! The Planet Beach® International Cover Model Program is an annual search that provides unique opportunities for women (ages 18 to 40 years of age) exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for personal self-improvement and an interest in the beauty and wellness industry.

An extensive global search will be organized through local and online casting calls in order to find and select forty models to be invited to the Grand Majestic Hotel & Resort in Punta Cana, in mid-October 2013 (www.majestic-resorts.com) and from there five will be selected to represent the Planet Beach brand in its annual advertising and social media program for the upcoming year. The models will participate in a fabulous TV show and photo shoot campaign that will be launched in January 2014.

Of these five models that will be selected, each will represent a specific campaign to showcase our products and services. Promotional materials will becreated for each campaign featuring our Cover Models throughout the world!

Last years winner, LauRen, truly represents the Planet Beach lifestyle.
