While summer is our favorite season for obvious reasons, there are some aspects of the hot weather that can really take a toll on our beauty routines. If you’re tired of the struggle, I have some summer beauty hacks you’ll want to learn – and put to memory – ASAP. They may seem a bit crazy, but they’re downright effective when the temperature skyrockets.

Baby Powder

We have all heard of using baby powder as a dry shampoo, but it also works miracles at the beach! If you’re like me and loathe the sand, but love the beach, try sprinkling baby powder on your hands, feet and, anywhere that sand may stick to you. The powder will absorb the sweat and salt water (which is what makes the sand sticky) and allows you to wipe the sand off immediately! It may seem odd, just trust me on this one.

Freeze Aloe Vera Lotion

Let’s be honest, there are days that we are having too much fun on the beach and forget to reapply our sunscreen. Try freezing aloe vera lotion into ice cube trays . Aloe vera is one of the best ways to soothe burned skin, but chilled aloe vera is even better.  If you keep it in your freezer all summer long, you can just pop out a cube or two when you need some extra relief! Your skin is already thanking you for this hack.

Dryer Sheets

Chances are, you’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors this summer. If mosquitos love you and you want to avoid being eaten alive, try rubbing dryer sheets all over the parts of your skin that may be vulnerable to bites (arms, legs), and you can even take extra precaution by keeping a dryer sheet in each pocket! This works as an effective bug repellent. Not to mention, dryer sheets smell a whole lot better than bug spray !

It’s inevitable to avoid sweat in this summer heat. Unfortunately, sometimes that sweat can leave clogged pores and blemishes behind. Fight back with Planet Beach’s Purify Blemish & Oil Control Clay Mask!

Our Purify clay mask refines the texture of the skin, leaving the surface layer of the face soft and smooth. The main ingredient, Montreal green clay, works to extract excess oil and clean out clogged pores, while also reducing blackheads, whiteheads, and large pores. This mask can be used as a mask twice per week to control natural oil production, or as a daily spot treatment for blemishes.

Unsure of your skin type? Purify can help you understand your skin. Apply the mask with clean fingers or a a sturdy facial brush in upward strokes beginning at the neck. Leave on up to 30 minutes or until the mask is fully dry. The areas that turn gray first indicate dry skin, and the areas that stay green indicate oily skin.

Purify can be worn as an all-over mask twice weekly or a daily spot treatment for blemishes and oily spots. This mask is made of Montreal green clay, aloe vera, basil extract, papain, and Hawaiian white ginger.
