The segment featured an inspiring woman who donated bone marrow to a 21-year-old boy with leukemia. Dr.Phil wanted to pamper the donor, as well as the mother of the young gentleman battling leukemia, with a spa membership donated by Planet Beach. Joseph Mann, a business professional from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Fabio Messer, a former founding partner at M10 Investments will be leading what is now Planet Beach’s 10th international expansion.
“I recently travelled to the US where I had a wonderful experience with the Aqua-Massage. As soon as I came back to Rio de Janeiro, I started searching for more information about the equipment. That’s when I came across Planet Beach,” explained Joseph.
“We travelled to the corporate offices in New Orleans to learn more and were really sold by the fact that Planet Beach had automated services and an efficient business model,” Fabio continued. “The company climate, its organization and culture just confirmed the good impressions we already had.”

A: I heard about the Planet Beach Cover Model Competition in 2011 when I was asked to compete in a bikini contest. I was fortunate enough to win and then ultimately be chosen as the 2011 Cover Model. Since my previous experience as a Cover Model, I have been truly missing everything Planet Beach has to offer. Planet Beach changed my life for the better, which has inspired me to once again participate. Q: What is your most embarrassing moment? We all have one! (at least!)
A: It truly is hard picking my most embarrassing moment because I could make a long list of embarrassing situations that would make everyone giggle. However, I would have the say my most embarrassing moment was during high school and this hockey player that I had an enormous crush on FINALLY talked to me. I had always dreamed of the moment he say a few words to me. As my crush approached me, I was walking up the stairs and was so distracted by his smile; I fell completely on my face and rolled down a few stairs. I was mortified! However, in life when we fall down, we need to just pick ourselves up and move on, and that is what I did. Even though I was embarrassed, I will never forget that particular moment because I realized that not everything happens how I imagined it, but you make the best of it.
Q: What is your career aspiration?
A: My career aspiration includes taking modeling as far as I can go. I want to be a successful model and take each opportunity as an experience of a lifetime. I am truly honoured for all my past experiences and look forward to future endeavors. Additionally, I aspire to be the best educator I can be! Through education, I want to make a difference and provide a safe and positive environment for all.
Q: If you could have dinner with one figure in history and ask them any one question, who and what would it be?
A: If I could have dinner with one figure in history, I would most definitely choose Elizabeth Taylor. She exuded elegance and style. I would want to know what her inner thoughts were with respect to self-image. She always portrayed herself with self-confidence and class but knowing how she saw herself would be so enlightening.

A true Californian native, born and raised in San Jose, California, fate took Isabelle Du back to her motherland as she modeled abroad in Asia for 4 years. She became an international model as she worked in countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia. She fell in love with Vietnam though and ended up staying there the longest to get in touch with her roots.
Some of her past work has included the Tyra Banks Show, Tresemme, Wet Seal, Mossimo, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Urban Outfitters, Elle Magazine, FHM Magazine and Cosmopolitan. Q: How did you hear about the Planet Beach Cover Model Competition? What inspired you to participate?
I actually do go to Planet Beach and love it. It’s the ideal place where I can just relax and reset myself. I saw that they were looking for models to represent the brand and I wanted to be a part of that!
Q: What is your favorite Planet Beach spa service and why?
The red light therapy session. I’ve always been insecure with my scars and being consistent with the red light therapy helps with my acne scars, my eczema and lightens up my scar on the back of my thigh I got from a bad motorbiking accident.
Q: What is your favorite Planet Beach product and why?
Right now, I’m obsessed with the Repair from the FACE by Planet Beach line. I use a few drops to gently rub and pat onto my face right before I go to bed. And voila! The next morning my skin looks like it got a good amount of sleep (even if I haven’t!) And it feels super soft as if it’s been quenching water all night.

When I take out the stress in my life, I get to be who I really am—motivated and excited to meet new people to make projects happen.

When I was living in Vietnam, my main mode of transportation was riding around on my motorbike – I named the ol’ girl Goldie. Going for dinner one night, I parked Goldie outside the restaurant and placed my helmet on the bike. As I walked inside, I noticed people were looking at me, but I figured it’s because I didn’t look local and thought nothing of it When my friend Brittany arrived she asked me, “What’s that on your head?!” The inside of my helmet had somehow detached itself from the outer part so I had this ridiculous Styrofoam moulding on top of my head the whole time – from parking my bike to walking into the restaurant and then sitting down. When I took it off, the customers who had initially stared at me started laughing. I had no choice but to laugh it off.
Q: What is your career aspiration?
I’ve got so many and I want to continue to have many in life. I want to go on writer’s retreats all over the world, write a novel and then have it published. On a related note, I want to LIVE all over the world and completely immerse myself within that culture. As an entrepreneur, I want to set up different e-commerce businesses and recently just launched my first one called www.idealhomebars.com. My boyfriend and I have a fashion blog together called MY BOYFRIEND’S CLOTHES (www.myboyfriendsclothes.com) and we want to continue to grow it and take it to the next level. And of course, I want to continue to model, in every stage of being a woman.

Personal Finance Guru Suze Orman is my idol, she has changed my life for the better with all of her personal finance books and advice. In fact, I’m out of credit card debt because of her. If I could ask her anything, it would be 3 things: what’s the best investment you’ve made, the worst investment, and the best free thing in life. One day I’ll meet her so I can tell her how financially empowered I feel because of her.

After working on the Steelers Sports show “The Jeff Reed Show” LauRen has launched a successful career in Sports Broadcasting all over the world, working in both TV and Radio markets from Miami to Mumbai, India.

Q: How did you hear about the Planet Beach Cover Model Competition? What inspired you to participate?
A: While I was using one of the Planet Beach spas in Miami, someone asked me if I was interested in the model search and thought I would be a good fit to represent the company. I have modeled for years but have always wanted to do something bigger than just taking a photo. I wanted to be the FACE of a product I believed in!
Q: What is your favorite Planet Beach spa service and why?
A: The Saunatox! I am a TRUE believer in relieving your body of bad toxins. I eat pretty organic and use products enriched with natural and organic ingredients, but nobody’s perfect and I do cheat. So, the Saunatox is exactly what I need to get back on track and feel great!
Q: What is your favorite Planet Beach product and why?
A: I would have to say the Indulge Instant meal! I replaced my old protein shakes with them as the caloric value was pretty comparable, if not better. The Indulge tasted better and had a lower glycemic index so I stopped getting that sugar crash an hour after I drank it.

Q: What is your most embarrassing moment? We all have one! (at least!)
A: Well, I love to dance and I do it sometimes to shake off jitters. Well I guess I shook off more than that. I was competing in a pageant when I was younger and about to go on stage for the Evening Gown competition and a pad in my dress came loose and fell out of the bottom. I tried to kick it off the stage before anyone saw but it was too late. Needless to say, I’ve sewn those bad boys in since then!
Q: What is your career aspiration?
A: To “have it all.” I have had a great broadcasting and modeling career and I am married to the man of my dreams, but I hope to one day be a successful entrepreneur and a “super” Mom!
Q: If you could have dinner with one figure in history and ask them any one question, who and what would it be?
A: One person that I’ve always been inspired by is Giuliana Rancic. She is an Italian American Broadcaster like myself but she has been through so much and has had the strength to share it with the world…from her marriage and having breast cancer to infertility and having a baby through a surrogate. I would ask her how she did it, while never losing herself or her career.
