I have been a member of the PDX Planet Beach spa since August 2012. Since then I have had nothing but positive results. I continue to see results and get constant questioning from those I know about what I am doing to lose weight and tone up. Every time I have to tell them about Planet Beach. I wish these spas were everywhere so my loved ones in other areas could get in on this secret to weight loss and feeling good.
My favorite service would have to be the Hydration detox machine. This machine, (basically a vibrating steam machine) not only literally melts inches off of my body, but also breaks up cellulite. I love the way I feel after my relaxing time in the hydration machine. This is especially helpful when one is feeling sluggish after too much drinking, or making unwise eating choices. I’m not going to lie..I usually do enjoy a glass (or two) of the complementary wine while I am at Planet Beach too. A girls gotta live a happy life!
While Hydration is my favorite service, I cannot forget about the other great services I often find myself using, such as the red light (helps with acne, migraines, stretch marks, cellulite and several other things), the amazing massage chair that I often sit in while I get my teeth whitened (no longer need a personal masseuse..just one of these chairs), Mystic Tanning, and the Slim Capsule (Like a sauna detox machine).
While I love my time at the spa..my schedule does not always allow me to be there as often as I would like. Therefore, I feel blessed that the at home Slim Wrap exists. This at home wrap has worked wonders for me. I instantly saw results including my clothes fitting much different than before the wrap. I highly recommend this to people who either want more benefit to add on top of the spa (like me!) or cannot join a spa for one reason or another. I have a friend who now uses this since there is no spa where she lives.
I also have done the Planet Beach recommended two week detox plan. I saw marvelous results with this! I lost 12lbs in two weeks and have managed to keep 8 of the 12 off over a month later. I had honestly never done a fully blown detox cleanse before and was a bit nervous to do one. I like to eat..in fact I love to eat…so I was worried I would not be able to sustain the strict diet. To my amazement I did pretty darn well. I fulfilled my sugar cravings with fruit and let myself cheat here or there when I really wanted something I was not supposed to have. Even with not being 100 percent faithful to the diet restrictions I still lost 12 lbs. I am still amazed.
I highly recommend this spa to anyone who wants to start looking and feeling healthier and see real results. I could not believe how fast I had my clothes fitting differently and the overwhelming amount of comments I got on what I was doing. Planet Beach is no joke.

It is that time of year again!  THE MOST UNIQUE, EXCITING COVER MODEL SEARCH is once again being re-launched to find 5 lucky ladies that will represent Planet Beach in 2014! The Planet Beach® International Cover Model Program is an annual search that provides unique opportunities for women (ages 18 to 40 years of age) exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for personal self-improvement and an interest in the beauty and wellness industry.

An extensive global search will be organized through local and online casting calls in order to find and select forty models to be invited to the Grand Majestic Hotel & Resort in Punta Cana, in mid-October 2013 (www.majestic-resorts.com) and from there five will be selected to represent the Planet Beach brand in its annual advertising and social media program for the upcoming year. The models will participate in a fabulous TV show and photo shoot campaign that will be launched in January 2014.

Of these five models that will be selected, each will represent a specific campaign to showcase our products and services. Promotional materials will becreated for each campaign featuring our Cover Models throughout the world!

Last years winner, LauRen, truly represents the Planet Beach lifestyle.

The Planet Beach Cover Model Search is underway.  With the on-line voting portal, Planet Beach makes it easy to submit videos explaining why they have what it takes to represent Planet Beach in the 2014 campaign.  There are also cover model searches held nationwide leading up to the finals in October.  Make sure you check our Cover Model Site regularly for event and information updates!

 

April 15th is right around the corner and lets face it, Tax Day can cause a lot  of stress for people.  Getting your finances in line can put your body under a lot of stress and cause a lot of tension. (all of those boxes!).

No need to fear, it is time to lay down, literally, and relax!  It is all going to be over on Monday!  Once again, Planet Beach is pairing up with HydroMassage for Tax Week!

Deep breathing. When we are experiencing stress we often take many shallow breaths, causing further physical stress to the body. Breathing deeply and slowly promotes relaxation of the body and mind.

Organization. Keep all of your financial documents in one place, so that when you do your taxes you will not have to sort through other files or a stack of mail.

Don’t let long hours be your excuse to eat poorly – sugary snacks can leave you feeling drained of energy. A balanced diet with healthy snacks  will help keep you energized. (poor diet can contribute to stress!)

Take frequent, timed breaks. Set your smart phone alarm to help you keep conversations to a minimum so you can stay on track (for fun, check out the Planet Beach mobile app).

Laugh…read a favorite comic, keep a joke book handy, or (if permitted) watch a short clip from a favorite comedy. Laughter helps put things in perspective.

It’s been two months since all those New Year resolutions were made.  Did you stick with yours?

We hope the answer is YES!

Sometimes sticking to your workout regimes and eating healthy can be a challenge. We’ve put together some motivational tips to help keep you on track to reach your goals!

The first thing you need to remember is you made this resolution for a reason. Whether you wanted to lose weight and get in shape or just live a healthier lifestyle, there are reasons behind your resolutions.  Keep those reasons fresh in your mind each day to keep you moving in the right direction.

• Make the Commitment – Commit to yourself to make permanent changes in your diet andexercise habits and STICK WITH IT!
• Take Baby Steps – bring ealthy foods into your diet gradually. If you quit ALL junk food cold turkey, you’ll have a better chance of cheating later on.
• Understand that you won’t be perfect – You WILL slip up from time to time. That’s normal. Don’t beat yourself up over it. When it happens, just recommit and get back on track!
• Be Social About Your Goals – whether you share your progress on Facebook or with friends and family, the more of a support system you have, the better!
• Get pampered – With all the hard work and dedication you put in, you deserve a little pampering. Make sure you stop by your local Planet Beach and get a massage or facial on a regular basis.
• Cheer Yourself On – stick post-it notes around your house and office with motivational quotes or pin motivational images on Pinterest to keep you motivated and on track

Remember, this is something YOU want. It’s up to YOU to achieve it. Make smart decisions, don’t give in to temptation, work hard and reward yourself (not with food) and you will see amazing results.

Franchise launches new spa design, technologies and successful financing program.

Every year, Planet Beach Franchise Corporate holds its annual convention so franchisees can keep up with the latest trends in the spa, beauty and wellness industries.

In January of this year, Planet Beach held it’s 12^th convention and received raving reviews. Planet Beach franchisees, master franchisees and staff from around the world gathered in Las Vegas, NV for the largest and most important training and networking event of the year and he event did not disappoint with a record number of attendees! The entire Planet Beach team left the convention rejuvenated and determined to make 2013 the most successful to date.

This year’s convention theme was “Experience This!” which focused on the importance of providing utmost customer service and providing the latest in technology to our members and customers.

Everything we do as a franchise organization revolves around this very idea. So, over the past year, we’ve worked hard to develop new technologies, processes, tools and programs to streamline operations to ensure our franchisees can deliver this golden service promise.

The Convention kicked off with an address from our CEO, Stephen Smith on all the new and exciting things happening with our brand and our industry.  “2013 is going to be a very good year. Planet Beach is poised for growth unlike anything we’ve seen the last several years,” he said.

The expo room opened for business soon after with samples of new state of the art equipment from our vendors, new marketing programs, new skincare products and most importantly a staged set-up of our brand new spa design.

The convention featured a variety of educational sessions to educate spa directors and franchisees on the emerging trends in the our industry as well as provide further training on managing their spa locations. In addition to attending educational classes, seminars, lectures, panel discussion, open forum discussions, etc.; franchisees had time to get to know each other through the Meet-and-Greets, Networking Receptions, Dinners, & Award Banquet/ Cover Model of the Year Show.  Attendees benefited by receiving the most training opportunities available over this fun-filled four-day period.

The 2013 Planet Beach convention, held this past week in Las Vegas, generated excitement from our franchisees, staff and our 2013 Cover Models!

During the Awards Ceremony on the final night of convention, our Cover Models took the stage to participate in a Q&A session and a runway show with hopes of becoming this year’s Cover Model of the Year.

The girls all did an amazing job and it was a very close competition! The votes were cast and the ballots collected…
