Exercise Your Way to a Better Life

That exercise is good for you is a well-known fact. We’ve all read the articles that tell us it gives us: better sleep, better sex, boosts your mood, gives you energy, builds strength and endurance, helps you live longer, and helps your mind stay limber.

But let’s be honest here. I don’t exercise for any of those reasons. Well, maybe better sex, but for the most part I’m not thinking about any of the health benefits. I’m thinking about looking good. It’s what drives every workout and every time I say no to a donut and yes to a dish of cucumbers. Does that make me shallow? Possibly, but I don’t really care. I want to look good in my skinny jeans and in my swimsuit come vacation time.

Regardless, I get all the benefits of exercise because of my vanity. There’s no question my life is better for participating in a regular exercise routine.

Why do you exercise? Are you like me and kinda vain? Or are you one of these mind/body/spirit people that I wish I could be. Tell us what motivates you.
